My Journey Has Had Many Twists and Turns…

After studying English Literature and Linguistics, I began working as an editor for a video game magazine. When it went bankrupt, I became a video game Localisation Specialist and translated games from English to German. After a few years I decided to give it all up to follow my dream of becoming an Illustrator, which, shortly after, somehow led me to start my own art academy. These days I work as a Marketing Manager for a startup that develops a sound and music app for tabletop games.

Hobbies

When I’m not at work, I like to spend my time at home with my better half and our two cats. On the weekend we usually have breakfast at our favourite café in the Old Town of Graz, where I usually have a cup of iced coffee and a chocolate porridge. Sometimes we go to the bookstore afterwards, which always leads to more books piled up in some corner of our apartment. In the evenings I like to do a bit of graphic design before I read or watch an Anime series on Netflix. The cats also enjoy it when I play games on the Nintendo Switch, especially when they have a cozy soundtrack. Their favourite game to this day is Strange Horticulture, in which you take on the role of a botanist in the Victorian era.

My other hobbies are doodling and crafting - first and foremost I like to build book nooks or magical miniature houses which I sometimes customise. I also enjoy taking a walk, so that I can listen to an audio book and take photographs at the same time. All in all I try to live slow and cozy life and I hope you enjoy following me on my journey.

Who knows, what the future holds?

I often worry a lot, but I try to live slower, enjoy the little things in life and just go with the flow. I still have a lot to learn, but I feel I’m slowly getting better at living a fulfilling life.

follow your dreams and cherish every moment

We only have one life, so we should ask ourselves if the way we live right now is truly fulfilling and brings us joy. I spent years of my life grinding away to achieve what society calls “success”, only to realise that it didn’t make me happy. Now I try to live slower and cherish the little moments that make me happy. I say no to things I don’t care about and focus on what brings me joy.
